About Us

Justin and his Company

Hinson's Taxidermy is owned and operated by Justin and Katelyn Hinson. He has been an outdoors enthusiast since an early age. His dedication to taxidermy has grown over the years and he is now a licensed and certified taxidermist specializing in big game, small game, fish, birds, and excotics. Justin wins Best in Show at Surry Community College Taxidermy Competition. Justin received his certificate's in fish, and birds, and mammals from Montgomery Community College. In addition, Justin has also worked one on one with multiple world award winning taxidermists. In August of 2012, Justin became a North Carolina Certified Taxidermist in Whitetail Deer.

Katelyn and Taylor.Justin began hunting and fishing as a young boy. One fond memory is fishing off the pier in Holden Beach with is late grandparents when he was a child. Bow hunting is his main passion; he also enjoys bowfishing and predator hunts. Justin has been hog hunting in Georgia and Texas, bass fishing in Florida, trout fishing in the Appalachians, salmon and trout fishing in Alaska, and bow hunting in Ohio.

Family has always been a very important aspect in Justin's life. He frequently takes family vacations, the favorite vacation spot being Walt Disney World in Florida. On May 15th of 2010, Justin wed his high school sweetheart Katelyn. Their daughter, Taylor, was born on May 10th of 2011, and they are expecting another child in December of 2013.
